Burton Jay Smith Navigator Air Forces Army of the United States November 26 - Friday [1943] Dearest: Yesterday was Thanksgiving though there was absolutely nothing to mark it... They did have roast turkey and dressing of which (any kind of roast fowl and dressing) I am very fond but being on flight and not able to eat dinner until 9 p.m it was all gone and I had to be content with hamburgers.
