1 Harrisburg, Pa., Tuesday, March 8th 1864 When on our return home, from Blain's Cross Roads, Grainger County, Tenn., my coat was stolen, while in Cincinnati, Ohio, and with it my diary, hence I lost the data of many items of interest, while on the march from Blain's Cross Roads to Nicholasville, Jessamine County, Kentucky, and also while quartered in the 5th street Market House, Cincinnati, hence I give, from memory, an epitomized sketch, covering the time to when my new diary began. A sufficient number of the men having re-enlisted to reorganize, as a Veteran Volunteer regiments, preparations were at
