Then took the cars for Harrisburg, Pa., via Columbus, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, Pa. At Pittsburgh the Pennsylvania R.R. furnished the officers one of their best cars, which was a great surprise. The men also had ordinary passenger coaches - This was the first experience of this kind since our enlistement - cattle and horse cars were previously furnished.
