42 Battlefield near Spottsylvania, Va. Friday, May 13th 1864 The enemy charged on our front to day but were repulsed, Jonathan Hearther, Company A, was badly wounded - Rained. Daniel Trautman and McCracken, two assistants in the Quartermaster's department, of the regiment were returned to their Companies. Saturday, 14th The Army of the Potomac moved to our left this morning. A heavy fight took place on our left about 8 oclock in front of the 5th Corps - The enemy were driven about two miles The fighting in our front was not very spirited. Drew and issued rations to 331 men today ending on the 20th.
