45 We shall soon receive reinforcements which he cannot. Let us determine to continue vigorously the work so well begun, and under God's blessing in short time the object of our labors will be accomplished. signed Geo. G. Meade Commanding General Official - A. Williams, A.A.G. Approved U.S. Grant, Lieut. Genl. Commanding Sunday May 15th 1864 Everything is very quiet this morning, except now and then the report of Cannon. John Nacey, of Company I was killed by a sharp shooter. Monday 16th Everything was very quiet all day until 3.25 P.M. when the stillness was broken by very heavy firing on our right.
