61 Wednesday, June 15. 1864 Issued rations to 339 men. Weather very warm. The Drummer of Company "C" was tied up today for wilfully breaking his drum.- Orders have been received to be ready to move again at 8.30 tonight. Thursday; 16th Left camp last night at 11.30 oclock and one hour later crossed the James river, on the Pontoon bridge, and then kept up the march all night making, I suppose, about 15 miles. The men were completely worn out and when we halted at seven oclock not over one half were in line, however by the time we had breakfast and were ready to start out again most of them had come up.
