108 Front of Petersburg, Va. (Left Centre) Sunday Sept. 4th 1864 Teams came up with officers baggage. General Wilcox in Command of the Corps and General Hartrauft in command of our (3d) Division. It is reported that the 1st and 3d Divisions are to be consolidated, and the 1st Division to be 3d Brigade of the 3d Division of the 9th Army Corps. Monday 5th Paid Twenty cents for a fine tooth comb. Part of the regiment were sent out on fatigue duty, but took their arms along. Wednesday 7th Received orders to move last night at 9 oclock, but did not until after daylight this
