117 Front of Petersburg, Va. (Left flank) Thursday Sept. 29th 1864 This morning at 7 oclock Col. B.C. Christ Capt. A.J Huntzinger, Co K Lieut. Rahn ,, I Lieut. E.F. Wiest ,, A Dr. W.P. Book and 46 men were mustered out and started for home- their baggage was sent to City Point. At 4 oclock this morning, those of us who were not mustered out marched about a half mile and then halted. About 4 oclock P.M. we again took up the line of march and when near the Yellow House, Waldon Railroad, halted for the night.
