170 Fort McGilvery, Va. Tuesday, Jan'y 17th 1865 A salute was fired this morning, in honor of the capture of the fort Fisher, Georgia. Received notice that Capt. G. W. Brumm, had been paid $501.15 by Major Smith, from September 1st to December 31st 1864. Sergeant A Mellow, Company "C", was wounded. Wednesday 18th Gave David P. Martz, Co. F., One pair shoes. Thursday 19th Gave Andrew Wholeship One pair shoes Wrote letter to brother Henry. Detailed for Picket tonight.
