219 Camp near Georgetown, D.C. Tuesday July 25th 1865 Left camp, east of the Capitol, Washington, D.C., this evening and marched back to our old Camp at Fort Gains. Held Dress Parade at the Fort Gains this evening. Friday July 28th The regiment was mustered today, preparatory to starting for home. Sunday July 30 Regiment was mustered out and started for Harrisburg Pa. Monday July 31 Camp Return, Harrisburg, Pa. Most of the Officers are quartered at the States Capital Hotel - I am buisy making out reports &c. Receiving the Camp and Garrison Equipment to be turned over to the Government.
