(4) I will finish this letter in the morning. Good night. (Kiss) No I will finish it for fear Steele may start early. Did you get the chimees & gowns & &c I wrote you about when at Birds Point? Direct your letters to me as before except in this particular. Say "in camp" via St Louis instead of any particular place, until you get further instructions. Give my love to everybody. Tell Mrs. B that Baker is well. Also tell [ ? ] Moores family that he is well and in fine spirits. We took a nice walk today. This is a very pretty little town. We visited the cemetery. We have here now about 10,000 soldiers. We will be joined by 10,000 more at Sikeston. This place is on the line between Scott & New Madrid counties in this State. You can see by the map. Kiss my babes for me. Tell Maud Pa Pa wants a kiss. Tell her to hug your neck for me. I will kiss your pictures and go to bed. Your true and faithful Husband J.B.
