our kind heavenly Father. Let us always set the right kind of an example to all our neighbors. The flowers in the gardens down here are all in bloom, and the peach trees also, Clara put these scraps in the scrap book nicely and so that they will not come loose, I hope the winter did not kill our shrubbery. Our roses, [have such they?] will be [?]. I know just where each shrubs is planted, and just how they look, But I presume that many of the trees are much larger than they were when I last saw them, Three years away from my wife! well now that is a rightly long time sure, to be away from as sweet a woman as anyone blessed Clara, but bless her noble soul, she has nobly sustained me in all my toilsome warfare, and as my own dear counterpart in all things, Give my love to all my friends, I am your own darling husband, faithful & true (kiss) (kiss) (kiss) (kiss) Weaver
