Give my love to all the folks - write soon and long letters like this is. Spect you will have to get an interpreter to read this - Good Bye From Your Nephew T J Hoge Lebanon, Dec 1" 1864 Dear Tillie When I went down to the quarters for my dinner to day I found two letters there for me, one from Mag Grim and the other from our "Aunt Tillie"- I ate my dinner then came back to the office and sat down by the fire where I could read them without any one bothering me - Have been pretty busy all day to day making out the reports for November, have to make muster and descriptive rolls of all the Recruits and Substitutes in the month - I have charge of the Book of Musters So I have to make out the first rolls and let the other clerks copy them - each roll has to be made in quadruplicate - wont have much to do after we get all the reports up for last month - unless they draft in Some of the counties again - this district is Still two or three hundred behind - I have issued over forty Suits of clothing this week - Only have a few more full Suits on hand are about of pants ---
