I carried him down Stairs and put him out in the Street one day- told the guard at the door to keep him out but he wouldent obey my orders- Well my eyes will get Sleepy and I cant make 'em stay open- Spect I had better go to bed and finish this big letter in the morning- it is after ten o'clock now. Friday morning- It is raining again this morning- have as much wet weather down here as we used to up in Illinois. I have a big pair of Government Shoes on I can wade through the mud- clothes havent cost me much this year. Capt Fidler lets me have all I want. I havent told my old [owman?] how much you thanked him for that Photo yet= he was asleep when I went down last night and I laid in bed till after the horn blowed for breakfast this morning- am just like I was at home always lie in bed till breakfast is ready- the others have to get up for roll call fifteen or twenty minutes before breakfast= We have a big pone for dinner every two or three day - the bake oven is large enough to bake one for the whole company at once, I could live on it- There has been several weddings in this place since we have been here- Ephraim and his "Frow" have my best wishes, hope their "honeymoon" will last till they get back from their wedding tour at least
