Our officers are all single men that is the reason they dont have their wives here- it is a very good reason isent it? We are having cold weather down here too- about four inches of Snow fell last Friday and since that it has been as cold as Greenland or some other Northern climate have only seen one fellow Sleighing- hasent any body got Sleds- it is so seldom that they have sleighing here- it dont pay to keep sleds- If I was up there you might take me a Sleighing every day dont think I would get tired of it as long as the snow lasts. Sergt Green and I went up to Mr Prices Saturday evening and talked to the girls till most ten oclock, he came over here and wanted me to go with him some place again to night- I told him I dident care about going to night and wanted to write a letter anyhow, So he thought he would wait till tomorrow evening if I
