Home on the Prairie Dec, 18th. 1864 My Dearest "Sam"-: Good Evening? How are you? do I hear you say, "well and happy" I'm glad to hear it, long may you continue so, Last friday I put myself into the big Sled, with our Dutchman for driver, and soon found myself in Wenona, where I had a very pleasant visit with my Cousins Hattie & Emma, the latter, went down Town & came back with two letters for Tillie, one from "Jeff" the other our "Sam" in Iowa, the latter say's let us have another of her last soon. the presumptious boy, when he had allowed her letter to remain one. three. ah! six weeks, unanswered, thats the way. with all Should this letter be less interesting than former one's blame the "head & not the heart", You will find enclosed a right smart chance of that comodity call'd love, which you can retain if desirabe, otherwise distribute it among the Heathen among you. As before I am Truly Yours Tillie Wise Please write soon and oblige "Tillie"
