Mt Pleasant Iowa Jan 19 /65 Neglected but not forgotten Tillie- I should get down in the low valey of humiliation - and there on my bended knee ask pardon for my long silence more than a year ago- I had a letter almost finished for you- but neglected putting the last touch on it- 'til it got so old and dry- It would not count. I have thought and intended to write a great many times since- but was waiting for a convenient season- but that never came, and I suppose never would. So I have layed aside my cares this evening to write you. These gals what marry men thinking they will henceforth live on lasses and honey the remainder
