Lebanon Ky Feb 9th 1865 Dear Tillie I received your letter last monday morning and have been running about ever since or I would have answered it before this - Capt Fidler went over to Bardstown Monday after noon - I thought I would go along to see the country over that way again - we passed through there going to Perryville last Fall two years ago - Capt had ten of the company along to keep the guerillas off - We all staid at the Hotel Monday night got Supper & breakfast there - we statered out through town and took dinner and supper with the citizens Tuesday - we went back to the Hotel and staid all night - got up Wednesday morning and started back to Lebanon before breakfast- the cars left there at half past six - dident give us time Brother Slick is up here playing the Old fiddle - I have a notion to get out on the floor and dance, what say you? We have been having a little more Winter down here this week. I havent had a letter from Green County since our folks started. I believe I have told you all the news- Enclosed find much love for yourself and all the folks - Dont let visions of guerillas haunt your dreams - think they are all chased off now and wont bother us soon again From your Nephew Jeff
