Jno R said he was going to Grand pa Rami's and would come here but didn't come - I've canned 14 qt beans 5 beets 7 bk berry & 5 raspberry & made a good pie but no one came to eat it. I meant to refinish some furniture this wk. I've pieced two quilts since I came home and on the 3rd. The garden is fine. Cabbage bursting so badly. A friend gave me cucumber another brot 4 nice rip tomatoes & another two roasting ears - so pretty good to me the same time Im very lonesome & have to keep busy. Hope you got lots of things done in way of business at home. I saw in paper probably soldiers wouldn't have to pay income tax. Is there anything to that. I'm trying to save enough to have house painted. It looks bad. Haven't made plans yet- but its in
