measles. Hope he won't take them. Warren looks real well, not quite as heavy as he was. He thinks he will be transferred to a heavy Cruiser on the West Coast. He had his girl with him. She is a very sweet girl I think. Marie got a letter from Marian & she likes California very much & says Ed looks better than he has for a long time and like his work fine. They only have to pay 29.00 a mo for their house. She had a good trip out there. I went to Niehaus' tonight and had a lovely time. Emma & Whit are sure good hostess & host. You should see their home? They have done it all over & carpeted their floors including the stairway. It is what I call an ideal home. Emma said to let her know when you were home, she wanted you to come over. They served wine & ice cream cake, nuts & candies & coffee. We played bridge & honey, belive it or not, I won the first ladies prize. It was a lovely linen kerchief
