Burlington, Ia., Feb., 4, 1943 Thurs 2 PM. My Dearest:- Just rec'd your letter this morning the first one since you arrived in Ann Arbor. Glad you got through all O.K. I won't be home until late tonight, but will get your sharpener & pants wrapped up & mail them on the way to work tomorrow morning and just hope you will get it by monday morning. Glad you have such a nice room mate and such nice accomodations. If you need any money, let me know. I will enclose a blank check and you can fill it out for the amt. for the Bankers Life. I deposited the whole check you sent me & if you need any, let me know. You tell me if you do write one though, so I can keep my bank stub straight. I have been working all day today and my foot feels a little tired & is swollen some but feel fairly good. My cold has been pretty bad. I am like you, I blow my head off & there still seems to be a lot there yet. I saw Roy Denniston in at Dehney today & he told me to tell you that Counseler Denniston asked about you. Also Nellie & Tom Dyer asked about you. Honey, I sure would like to come up to see you while there, but
