Saving...
We have two or three Chinese boys here from California they seem to be awfully nice little guys, well educated and clean. The reading room here has all sorts of magazines so don't ever send me any while I'm here. You might send some stamps tho its heck to get them, we don't often get to where there are any. I've only four left. I have written grandma a card and I'll try to write her a letter soon. I got a letter from Agnes Gillies today it took as long to reach me as yours do from home. This was the day we take our bedding out, twice a week they have to be carried out to air. It is foolish because the sheets and blankets must be tightly folded so no air or sunshine can get to it. Yesterday one of the fellows had a birthday and a big cake. He cut it and everyone got a piece, it didn't go far tho in this outfit we are about elgible for K.P. now so I expect I'll get a call any day. I just turned out a big washing 3 wool undershirts, 3 drawers - 2 towels, 3 handkerchiefs, 2 prs. sox. Send me little Ernies address will you please. My pen works all right now it was just the newness before. I write with pencil to conserve ink, I'll get some when I'm permanently located Love Johnny
