Saving...
Sept. 29, 1942 On troop train Dear Dad & Mom: Please excuse the scrawling. I'm trying to write this in an upper bunk and it's really bouncing around some. Our trip has been very slow and kind of tedious, have come across Wyoming. Green River, [Ramlings?] & Laramie and will probably go thru Cheyene and then down thru Denver and then to Pueblo. The country has been very plain & uninteresting but occasionally we would see a tree a cottonwood or willow in a low spot along a stream. Saw more wildlife than I've seen in months, a badger, 2 coyotes, prairie dogs, gophers innumerable magpies and just at sunset we saw a band of antelope about a dozen they were quite nonchalant about the train just watched it go by with their heads up
