I hadn't seen it for a year or more and I enjoyed it. Some of the fellows with me hadn't seen it & besides it only cost 25 cents when I got back to the Field after paying my bus fare I've got 1 nickel. We get paid tomorrow & I've nine dollars loaned out. Some of the fellows get most awful broke this time of month. I wish they'd make up their minds about raising the soldiers pay but I don't reckon they will. Most of the boys in campus seem to think of it as a good ideas. It makes us kind of mad to have some of these young eligible instructors here getting $200 a month or so & in next room a soldier is teaching for $30 and in many cases doing a better job. Your box of cookies is swell I got it Saturday morning but just opened it. I surely like those date balls or what ever they are. We go back to wearing our coveralls tomorrow at least it will make my cleaning bills a bit let as I can wash my own coveralls but not my uniforms. We just had a fire drill a goofy thing as there were only five in the whole barracks. I must write some other letters so I'll quit but will try & be a little more regular with my letters in the future. Love, Johnny
