July 10, 1942 Salt Lake City Dear Folks: I haven't [illegible] out yet but expect to [illegible]. Had a nice visit with the Dibbles. If I get a pass out I'm going to their home. They came out to the gate to see me the other evening. This is a quite a vacation out here, living in tent. I can see Salt Lake City from my bunk & see the snow capped mtns. Food is excellent and [illegible] is easy, play [baseball?] mornings after drill. I really wouldn't mind being stationed out here i like the climate the dust doesn't blow like Texas. Love, Johnny
