haul you out in G. I. trucks. They say the water is only a little salty and nice and clear. It is clear because the salt keeps any thing from growing in it. I haven't been into town there is nothing there and just jammed with soldiers every night even if this is a small camp it makes a lot of soldiers compared to 150 or 200 civilians. Have run across a couple more Iowa fellows out here one from Guthrie Center and another from Monetezema. They both think Iowa is the place too. So far we haven't done any work out here we are waiting for the 306th to move out of here to an other field and then we move into their barracks and take over their work. Our planes and equipment haven't arrived from Tucson as yet so we don't have much to do. They exercise us every day. Have lifted the ban on showers now and we can take one where we choose before it was just between certain hours. Have partially caught up on my letter writing since I've been here. Have only had one letter since I left Sheppard Field. Love Johnny
