have the nasty habit of being just a bit closer to you than they seem at first and you're stuck. It was dreadfully hot down there it often gets up more than 120 degrees but somehow it doesn't seem that hot. While I was there I watched Warner Bros. shoot a few scenes of a new picture "Rear Gunner". There were using one of the fields big B-24's and some smaller fighter planes. Ronald Reagan and Burgess Meredith star in the picture I believe they are both members of the Air Corps. The field where I am now located is relatively a new one, only a few barracks and mostly tents. It is located on the Utah-Nevada state line, the mountains on the west and the famous Bonneville Salt Flats where all the racing car records are set on the east. It is a grand place for an air base I guess the ground is very level and due to the salt no vegetation will grow except a little salt sage. They could land most anywhere because it is so flat. I have been living in a tent and eating out of my mess kit it's almost like camping out but you can't go fishing or for a swim whenever you
