We are planning a masquerade and a large dinner for Thanksgiving, including turkey but I don't think we will have cranberries or mince pie, but many other things just as good. Mrs Fiske wants me to go to Nice with her for two weeks in December. and I am only waiting to find out what will happen to the unit before I apply for leave. She has an aunt living there and it is the opportunity of a life time so I hope I can go. Faith has just had two weeks down there too. You may as well begin now to save eggs against my return because I am going to do everything but bathe in eggs when I get back. I havent heard much about Lightfoot lately but I trust she is behaving well, and that when the time comes to sell her you will get a good price. How about the allotment? Has that started to come through yet? If it hasn't by the time you get this be sure to tell me about it so I can take it up from this end. We have goose for dinner today. Have had turkey several times and chicken
