April 12th, 1919 Dear Mother and Father, Our mail has not caught up with us very well yet but yesterday your letter of Mch 7th came so I guess it will keep on coming. There was also one from Carl and Jo. You know by this time that we are stationed here at La Baule. We do not know how long but do keep writing I really was very much worried when I heard you have both been sick but by this time you are having pleasant weather and I hope that you are quite well again. It makes me feel very helpless to be so far away when you aren't well. I was glad to know that Joan's calf had arrived and that you will have more milk and butter and also more work. This last week has been one mad rush. We have sent out about 1000 nurses and that meant a tremendous amount of paper work. We started in the day after
