he likes to take him a homestead not because he dont like here but because land is so high and he has had so much bad luck if I just owned a place here I would just as soon live here as any where i ever saw and people can make a living here a great deal easier here than they can there. Corn is the best here I ever saw small grain the Chintz bug took as a general thing except fall wheat and it was good but there is such access to other places flour is only $3.00 per hundred weight the best quality old corn from 18 to 20 cts per bushel plenty of potatoes of both kinds & lots of beans and all kinds of garden stuff. I got a letter from Wm last night.
