Andrew Muravez Tues. 5 I am Laboring with the greatest diligence to prepare for the exhibition and require the scholars to rehearse daily after school, which takes up considerable time. Wednes. 6 The weather is very pleasant the snow is melting and the boys enjoy themselves very much pelting each other with snowballs. I corrected several orations of my scholars, they do exceedingly well, better than many that I have heard by college students. My health is very good, and I enjoy it well. Thurs. 7 I think this is the coldest morning that we have had this winter. Had a very trying time with some of the scholars who came into the school room with frozen limbs. Mr. Knorube came to inform me that he is willing to play for rent at our exhibition. I learned that some of the neighboring schools are going to have exhibitions at the close of their terms; so we must do our best to excel. Frid. 8 We had a very interesting school, the children behaved very well, had our rehearsal. It began to thaw and the snow is fast disappearing. Sater. 9 I had school in order to make up 1 day. This evening I had my grand rehearsal but it was not well attended on account of the wet and thawing state of the street.
