…and brought with me the men that deal with [illegible] we wrote ink. I had to [illegible]. When all was over, I told him that he should be alone in the room, but nurses and I guarded him from time to time, with what he had agreed. I can tell you this, that he was the man whom I did love, but especially when he showed to me how much he loved you and the child. Later, I had to go to school, leaving him at Semendria [a town in Serbia], for few men of Americans came to assist him. In few days I heard that he died. For what I felt and I am feeling exceedingly sorry, but you should know, that he was a man who did much for his counrty and for Serbs. Now I should make a kind of introduct who I am. I am a student of agriculture called Michael Nikolitch; and if you would like to know anything more about me, do write to me. I will be pleased to do all I can. My address is on the envelope. Yours very sincerely, Michael D. Nikolitch
