more appreciation and nearness in a friendship. I know that this is a close grief to those who were with the doctor - & my own doctor mourns as a close friend. He bids me assure you he is doing all that he can for you, and will write you full details and tell you what he has done. This is one of the hard things that War brings - and continued anxiety and heartache is common to us all. We never know who is to be more heavily stricken, nor when, nor how - and the days are very long. Will you let me know if you hear from Dr Davis? He will do
