Saving...
2 we were put on a boat at 630 and some time during the night we were taken across the channel to Cherbourg France where we went to rest? camp for one day - I remember the bath that fox and I had at Cherbourg - it was some rest camp - from there we went to Paris, all travelling 2nd class. Arriving in Paris about 8 a.m. Capt Fox with 3 or 4 others was sent to No 5 - a 2500 tent bed Hospital. He was sent there because no 5 was short of surgeons - 2 days later I was sent to No 5 - Both Dr. Fox and my-self remained at No 5 until the finish of the war, going back to 85 in December. Dr Fox was very fond of the C.O.
