Saving...
I had a letter from Aunt Cora & from [illegible] yesterday, he expects to be transferred soon and told me to send his next letter home and let his folks forward it. Also have had your daily letters which I'm always glad to get Must ask Duke Hays if he knows any of the [Minnie?] [Arbogoato?] & the location of the park. Charly [Musser?] has been very good to bring you folks garden stuff he is a fine neighbor does he fish as much as always and catch something every time he goes. Hope Harry Winger [comes?] and all right with Bing, he has been quite neglected but thing he should make a good horse. His ma was kind of silly too but I always got along with her okay she was just nervous and flighty We have [avocados?] often at the mess hall wretched things I would as soon eat [illegible] soap. Looks as good and couldnt be more [slick?], no taste [illegible] I dont think they are good at all. There is a plane here leaving for [Sioux?] City in the morning, five hours and I could be there. One of our old outfit is here to get the plane as well as ride along as it isnt loaded. Fred Waring and his band are to be on this base the 22nd. Think I will go see & hear him maybe you'll hear it over the radio. Will close for tonight Love Johnny
