Chicago Ill July 1, 1917, Dear Mother, They dont put out mail on Sun. so I dident get a letter today. I was to a dance down to the other end of the pier. They sure have a fine hall, I dident like the music it was to fast, they sure had some time. I see the homliest girl last night, she looked at John Nelson and I we both laughed in her face, I cant comence to tell you what she looked like. I was with a jane I was telling her about Mark Burke thats the fellow I write to. She said she was going to bet my time, so I gave her his address. Then she is going to send all his letters to
