Chicago Il July 19 1917 Dear Mother:- I rec'd your letter the one Irene wrote for you. Well we are still in Chicago. We marched down to the depot with the first section we go Sat. but I wont beliave it untill we pull out. The first section is gon to N.Y. we meet them there. Did you read the paper and see the picture of the Regement I am in it, next to the top row in Co. E. You cant see much of me it blured. They were some crowed to the depot On the way back a Jew had his fruit stand out to the edge of the side walk we just helped our selves, Its about 7 miles both ways, so am feeling pretty
