the Huns shell and bomb us, but we cant do a thing only take it, every one is anxious to pay them back, and the next drive that comes we hope its on this front so we can get even. Frank [McNeeley?] the fellow who usto stay with aunt nell wrote to the firm he usto work for, and got a letter of recomatition as a machinest, he took it to the officer and he wouldent even think of giving him a transfer to the tank or avation corps. The only way this regiment will ever get in a fight, is when the Huns make a drive on this front. Well Mother Dont worry becaus im coming back. Lots of love to all your Son Francis
