May 28 1918 Dear Mother, I sure remember one year ago today. That was the day I held up my right hand and said, I do. Theres one thing they didenet say, and that was, will you promise to keep it all your life. Thats the only difference between the army and getting married. of course Im not experienced, but some of the comrads say so. This army is going to make lots of good husbands. You say the paper says that the Huns are sorry
