August 14, 1918 Dear Mother, I received one letter from you to day, it was dated July 29th. You say [Mayme?] has never received the check, I sent it June 13th thru the Y.M.C.A. It had surley ought to be there by now, if she has not received it when I receive more mail Ill go to the "Y" and find out about it, I have a receipt so there is no chance of loosing it.
