Dec. 9, 1943 Pacotello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: Missed writing yesterday. I felt punk and went to bed about six oclock to try and break up a cold, no go. Woke up this morning feeling about the same, if I don't feel any better tomorrow Im going to stay right in bed. Same old bronchitis but Im not going to let it get ahead of me. It snowed couple of inches yesterday and turned cold. was only about 10 above this morning and the wind was blowing, sure miserable but the sun came out about 10 AM and that warmed things up a little it didnt thaw but just a little. The sunset was red tonight so we should get some good weather. I have moved back into the old barracks where I used to live in the 536. have almost the same bed, which seems good, the barracks has a shower room adjoining it which beats running outside all to pieces. Am enclosing a money order for the twenty bucks Dad loaned me when I went to Des Moines, thanks pappy. Haven't done my Christmas shopping yet in fact haven't been in town since I came back. Is there anything
