Dec. 21, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: I'm still in the horsipistal but am just as well pleased, it is a very gloomy day outside, quite warm but foggy and about half raining. The snow has melted around camp and I cant see the hills this morning but it was getting quite deep on them so Im sure that hasnt melted. The Christmas tree is right beside my bed and it keeps me busy keeping the lights lit. The bulbskeep burning out and they're the old kind, one out, all out. Only have one spare left so I expect they'll soon be out. Do you have the tree up at home this year? Im going to some sort of movie or show this afternoon. It is to be put on over in a different section of the hospital. Maybe some kind of a Red Cross show. Must get around to write a letter to the Presbyterians thanking them for
