Dear Friend Dave I have received two of your Scuttlebutt sheets the past week and I think they are great. They contain news that we all are starving for and want you to know how much I appreciate receiving them. The days are quite long up here now, as a matter of fact, we have day light 24 hours a day. We are not suffering with the heat, so you as you are at home, yet we have had a few days of sunshine. I hear from many friends from all over the world. This war certainly has scattered the fellows around. Recreation is a scarse article, but we are forced to get along without luxuries that we have had in the past. I think its' a pretty good thing too, because that old USA dollar won't buy too much here. The country has infested so much. There is a lot of [illegible] among the people here now. Building is really as a [illegible] we all want one thing and that is Peace so that we can live one more.
