June 19, 1944 Hello Dave, Your news to servicemen called "Scuttlebut" arrived today just after my return from London. Thanks a lot for it even though it did contain some bad news for me. The news of Sgt. Lyle Edmandson was not known to me until then. I'm sure sorry to hear it and the hardest thing I'm going to ever have to do is write his Mother. I don't know exactly how to express myself about those sort of things. You see toots
