To Mr. Dave Elder Washington, Iowa From R F. [illegible] [illegible] [illegible] July 10, 1944 Hello Dave and Rest, Received your letter dated June 23 and was glad to get it. I have been getting your letters pretty regular. I know that ours are a little slow in getting there. Would sure have liked to have been home the day the women were running the town ha. ha. I'll bet they had some fun at that. Well things are shaping up pretty well all over Dave and I hope it is over before long as I am like everyone else anxious to get back to the old town. Better close now and write a letter home as it is nearing bed time. So long till next time. As Ever Forrest
