watch the [Japens?], my boy, for accounts of this "Famous Fighting Fourth." Well Dave, this was really a rugged island to take, and I certainly thank God that I can sit here and write you about it. I guess these battles all over the world are plenty rugged, and it will sure be a wonderful day when it all ends and we can throw all these rifles and knives and everything else away and come home.
