30 Sept 44 Hello Dave & Rest, Had nothing to do so thought I would drop you a few lines. I haven't gotten any mail for about one month now as I have been moved around so much. I am now back at the American School Center here in England. I was here about fifteen months ago so it is an old place to me. It sure is hot here today. I have met a lot of fellows that I knew and have found out some pretty bad news I wish I could tell you about it but you know the army. How is everything going back home. I suppose everyone is just keeping busy getting ready for winter. Well I must close for now and will try and write you again soon. Hoping I get some mail soon. As Ever, Forrest [Mitchell]
