Jeff Davis rules America but I think the first visit that Col Curtis pays them they will be out of that notion I see men nearly every day that the have run out of there there time is about done. Now some thing else our crops was fine Wheat will turn of about 25 bushels to the acre and corn I neve seen a better prospect in my life but time are hard here Wheat is seeing a 30 cts a bushel and [dull?] Sale at that every thing else is high money is so scarce that I harvested thee weeks and did not get one cents in in money The last letter that I got said that you was well pleased with your northern country well I did think that you would be so well pleased I calculate that you would go to raising your sugar and cotton when you got to that splendid county I have a notion going there my self and try my luck. If the troubles are all settled we are a going a Buffalo hunting this fall and would like you along we will have a golly crowd and I know you would not get homesick if you was to go with us. I want you to come out here this fall any how and bring mother and 2 lbs onion seed and 2 pints locust seed and my old carbine if you have not sold it now I want you to write as when I come back there will be one of the biggest fusses ever you seen for I have got to a [illegible] and the other half [alligator?] we can kick up up a fight any time we want and so no more this time Harrison & Sarah to M M & Amy Mark
