Camp Pearce Nov the 20th Sedalia MO Dear father & mother i take my pen in hand to inform you that i am well at present and hope these few times may find you the same Harmon has gone to Jefferson city to the hospital with the ballance of the sick he was so as he could walk about when he left on the 17th there was no military hospital here & they had to go there If we dont be discharged we will either go to St Louis or Ft Leavenworth for winter quarters but i think we will be discharged we are not payed off yet but i think we will soon In my other letter i wrote that John Owens was dead but he is not he is here the report came in that he was dead
