I will send you a  Rebel paper so you can see how they like us we destroyed the rail road at Brandon for five or six miles and when we got there some body put some of the boys on guard to guard Rebel property and the boys got their asses up and lit the town on fire and liked to burned it up there was about two thirds of it burned as it was Garton has got here he said pap had gone back home I was in hopes he would get to some town So he could see some thing I suppose he seen that little fight at Helena tell pap we want him to write and let us know what he thinks of a fight and how he would like to [illegible] in one well I don't know who to direct this too tell mary to write to (Sina?)
